The San Diego Mission parish has really grown since we left in 1962.
It is much larger and better organized. They have 2 priests, 2 deacons,
a large laity, many committees, and nuns which operate the orphanage.
In this time when every parish is cutting back the number of masses, the mission has 2 masses on Saturday, 6 on Sunday, and 2 every weekday. In 1962 we think they had 2, maybe 3, masses on Sunday. |

The flower garden in front of the mission is new since 1962.

The Coronado Hotel The last time we were here was for New Years Eve 1961. |

It would be wonderful to stay here.

Waiting for the restaurant to open. There were a lot of people on the beach but not many in the water. |

Having a small appetizer of delicious muscles. Mom enjoyed dunking her bread in the garlic sauce. |

We had a great meal, service, and table. Even using a flash the beach in the background still got over exposed. |

The setting sun is over the ocean and we are on the way back to the motorhome and on to Arizona tomorrow morning. |
