Spring 2009 - Part O - On the Beach

When you are on the beach you can see many different sights. Shuttle Atlantis going up to repair the Hubble telescope. Hubble is in a different inclined orbit than the International Space Station. So this launch came closer to Melbourne Beach. The solid boosters separating from the shuttle. We did not see this with the naked eye. After I enlarged it on the computer we got to see it. We had very high winds from the south for several days. We still walked and sat on the beach but were very surprised to see this kite-surfer flying by. I'm sure the pelican was surprised to see him! Pelicans trying to mooch a fish off of Jimmy. Jimmy feeds this heron almost everyday. Back to the 2009 Spring Travel Directory
