2014 - Quepos, Costa Rica - Part A - Main House

We arrived in Costa Rica on time. We left Syracuse 20 minutes late due to the extra length of time it took to de-ice the plane before takeoff. We had to be at the airport at 6 AM and we arrived at the rental house in Costa Rica at 8:15 PM (EST). Costa Rica is on Central time.

When we arrived at the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica, the rental car was not available. The rental company lost our reservation. But Terri and Kenny quickly made contact with another rental agency and we were on the road to Quepos. Finding the rental car required an extra hour, so we showed up on the pacific coast after dark. The house Terri rented is great. The house is large and has glass all over. It has four bedrooms; one of which is an “In-Law apartment” which I, being the in-law was able to take over.

The house is built into the side of a small mountain. From the private road up the mountain you only see the roof of the house. The house is built in tiers with outside walkways between bedrooms.

Terri trying to find her way around the house. It has a nice large kitchen.

The dining room and living room over look the pool. There are sliding glass doors all over the place.

A view looking down the side of the house and the valley below.

Terri standing in front of bedroom #1, which Rosa and Frank used.
The master bedroom is down the walkway behind her; it has it's own patio.
Below her patio is my "in-law" apartment. The only access to the apartment is through the garden.
Behind the falls and second (small) swimming pool is bedroom #2 which Isaac, Willy, and Brianna used.

This is the main pool. Kenny and Ron enjoying a peacefull morning and catching up on old times.

They decided that the pool needed shade and some chairs to sit on.

Relaxing in the pool on a warm day.

We tend to spend most of our time wondering when and where we will eat next?
There seem to be too many great places to eat in this part of the country.

While we were resting in the pool, this grass hopper came to rest on the window sill.

This will give you an idea as to his size.
