Las Vegas - Sam's Town Las Vegas KOA
Trip Stats: 27 Days - 2,772 miles on Motorhome - 1,084 miles on SUV

We decided to leave the National Parks and head for Las Vegas. We will put our hiking shoes aside and checkout what is happening in the “City of Lights” or better known as “Sin City.”

We decided on Sam’s Town KOA because of reviews, cost, and their free shuttle to the “Strip.” Everything worked out fine. Sam’s casino was not as hectic as the other casinos we visited. The shuttle was very convenient, and the campground was well maintained. Sam's Town even had 56 lanes of bowling.

The weather remained cool and windy. Back east everyone was in the nineties.

I wanted to show Terry the fountain in Caesars Palace and take her on a gondola ride at the Venetian. She wanted to see the Fremont Street Experience. I haven’t been on Freemont Street for over 30 years. When we went to Fremont Street there was a special show going on and it cost $40 for parking at all of the parking garages. We were able to find street (meter) parking four blocks away.

A nice quiet setting at Sam's Town Casino. (late afternoon - mid week)

Terry likes Jacks of Better on the machines. The lone "Let it Ride" table had no dealer.
I walked around looking at the various machines and table games.

When I returned to see how Terry was doing, she was all excited. She wanted me to see her straight flush so she took a picture with her TracFone. Not the best picture but you can see her winning hand!

In the Venetian waiting to go on the gondola ride.

Watching a gondola go by.

Taking a selfie with my old camera. The gondola operator sang us songs while on the ride.

After the gondola ride we had dinner in a Mexican restaurant in the Venetian.

In Caesars Palace waiting for the fountain show.

The fountain before the show. None of my pictures of the show turned out.

Bowling at Sam's Town.

It took her one game to get her old form back. - I never had a bowling form!

If she would have spotted me 50 pins a game I would have won!

Walking down Fremont Street Experience, was an experience. - For me, once was enough.

These two guys would give you a lap dance for money.

I told Terry I would pay for the lap dance, but she would not go near them!

Back at Sam's Town having seafood at The Angry Butcher Steakhouse.

Enjoying a peaceful meal on our last night in Vegas. Tomorrow we head for the Grand Canyon.
