After having a large meal at the Aquarium restaurant we headed over to the Grand Ole Opry for the 6:30 show. There is a mall, with picnic tables and chairs, in front of the Grand Ole Opry where you can sit and listen to various free entertainment. They entertain before and after the main show at the Opry. Many people bring their lawn chairs and just listen to the free entertainment.

Listening to the free music while waiting for the Opry to start.

Part of the free entertainment.
Even though it was in the 90's everyone still enjoyed the music.
They have booths around selling cold drinks, pizza, and other items.

The opening number at the Opry.
Note the square dancers. They really had their feet moving.
Just to the left of the dancers is the radio announcer. The show is broadcast live on AM radio. We got to hear all of the commercials. The show lasted for 2 and one half hours, no breaks and 18 different groups or singers.

Some of the entertainers were dressed real sharp.
Others were just in Levi's (some with holes) and checkered shirts.
Notice the large TV screen. They were also located on the sides or the stage.

This singer had a real powerful voice and sounded like Patsy Kline.

After the show we headed back to the free entertainment.

This group really had the crowd jumping.
