Last year we had the Low Country Boil and was so interested in what was happening, that
I forgot to take pictures. So I made up for it this year!
It has clusters of Snow Crab, Shrimp, Sausage, Corn on the Cob, Potatoes, all boiled in
a solution of water, Onions, Garlic, and a Special Seafood Seasoning. Very Delicious!!
Each item and ingredient has to be put in the pot at a specific time. Mom made good notes, so
we will try at home.

Lighting the fire under the Boil Pot.

The Snow Crab is the last to be put in.
It is almost ready.
My mouth has been watering for over 15 minutes!!

|
You have to pull up the basket slowly to let it drain.
Note the bare feet. (A sign of an experienced Low Country chef!)
|
|
The basket is almost full.
How can only four people eat all of this???
|
|
Iris is counting the seafood and telling us how many crab and shrimp we could each have.

This Low Country Boil just offset my electrician bill.
I guess we camped in their yard for free!
|
|
It tastes even better than it looks!
We almost finished it.
We were able to take home a doggie bag with sausage, potatoes, and shrimp.
Sorry Olive, we brought the doggie bag home!
