Sugarloaf Key is 19 miles from Key West. The campgrounds closer to Key West are very compact, the sites are almost on top of each other.
It takes about 40 minutes to drive the 19 miles to Mallory Square,
which is the center of activity in Key West.

The southern most point in the continental U.S.
Last year we were at the most south west point (Imperial Beach, CA),
and the most north west point (Cape Flattery, WA).

Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square, Key West, waiting for the sun to set.
It is like a flea market combined with a bunch of sidewalk performers.
They are just setting up and getting ready to perform.
Notice the cruise ship on the right and a one man band behind Mom.

A view of Mallory Square. The crowd is still gathering.
And the sun is getting lower.

One of sidewalk performers showing how to get out of a straight jacket and chains while hanging upside down. It took him just under 5 minutes and a lot of sweat, it was around 90 degrees.

There were performances by trained cats, trained dogs, bag pipers, statues, magicians, musicians...
