Letchworth State Park is located 50 miles south of Rochester in the valley of the Genesee River.
In the park, there are 17 miles of deep winding canyons which have been carved by the river. The river is approximately 600 feet below the sheer cliffs.

The precipitous walls of the gorge, with the river winding below, the plunge and spray of 3 water falls and the forest cover of the brink and slopes, make it one of the most notable examples of waterfall and gorge scenery in the Eastern US.

Mom and I arrive a day before everyone else. We have been walking around the campground waiting for the kids to arrive. It rained last night but now it is just cool, damp, and very cloudy.
The Satellite dish worked except when it rained.

A favorite pastime, sitting around the campfire playing word games.

It really was not that cold Luke.

To really play the word game you had to shine the light on your face while you were answering.

We hit the fall colors at the peak this time.
This was also, one of the windiest days.

One happy family.
